Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will boost the Congress campaign in Haryana on Monday with his “Vijay Sankalp Yatra.” He is likely to be joined by party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
According to the Haryana Congress, the yatra will begin from Naraingarh in Ambala district with a public meeting. After that, it will move through Yamunanagar, Mullana in Ambala, and various points in Kurukshetra, including Rajeev Chowk, Saha, Shahabad, and Babain, where party workers will welcome him. The ruling BJP has fielded Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini from Ladwa, Kurukshetra.
Rahul Gandhi is expected to continue campaigning in the state until October 3. He will be accompanied by Congress leaders such as former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja. Haryana will hold elections for all 90 seats in a single phase on October 5, with the results announced on October 8.
MVA leaders to finalise seat-sharing for Assembly polls
Leaders of the MVA, which includes Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (led by Sharad Pawar), and Congress, will meet on Monday and October 1 to finalize the seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, said state Congress chief Nana Patole.
He confirmed that all parties will contest together as MVA, and there are no disagreements on this. Regarding the Mahayuti government’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Patole stated that MVA is not against the scheme and will improve it when they come to power.
