A 24-year-old woman named Fatima Khan has been arrested for allegedly sending a death threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The threat message said Yogi Adityanath would be killed "like Baba Siddique" if he didn’t resign from his position within 10 days. The Mumbai Police traced the message back to Fatima's phone number. She is reported to be well-educated, holding a degree in Information Technology, and lives with her family in Thane near Mumbai. Police also mentioned that she has been dealing with mental health issues, and her father works in the timber business.

The threat was received on the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai Traffic Police. This incident follows a series of death threats in Mumbai over the past weeks, many of which targeted actor Salman Khan, demanding a ransom and threatening violence if he did not pay. Among the arrested suspects are a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida.

One of the threat messages also mentioned Zeeshan Siddique, a Bandra MLA and the son of former politician Baba Siddique, who was shot dead outside his son’s office on October 12. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Baba Siddique’s murder. This gang has also been linked to death threats and attacks on Salman Khan, believed to be due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Security around Salman Khan was increased after a recent shooting incident near his home in April.
