Chennai Police reported that superstar Rajinikanth was rushed to Apollo Hospital late Monday night after he experienced severe stomach pain. Once admitted, doctors confirmed that his condition was stable. According to reports, the 73-year-old actor is likely to undergo a planned elective procedure on Tuesday. However, there has been no official statement from Rajinikanth’s family or the hospital so far.
This isn’t the first time that the iconic actor has faced health issues. In 2020, Rajinikanth was hospitalized in Hyderabad after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. The incident occurred just days before he was set to launch his political party. Following three days of treatment, Rajinikanth returned to his Chennai residence and announced that he would not be pursuing a political career due to his health. He expressed that he took his health condition as a “warning from God” and decided not to move forward with his plans to contest the 2021 Tamil Nadu elections.
The veteran actor initially announced his intention to enter politics back in December 2017. He created a buzz among his fans by launching the Rajini Makkal Mandram, a platform meant to serve as a foundation for his political party. His entry into politics generated a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among his supporters. The party’s launch was scheduled for January 2021, five months before the state elections. However, due to his worsening health, Rajinikanth decided to dissolve the Rajini Makkal Mandram and step away from political ambitions.
Rajinikanth remains a beloved figure in Indian cinema, known for his extraordinary acting career spanning several decades. Fans across the country are relieved to hear that his condition is stable and are hoping for his speedy recovery.
