Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued threats against Hindu temples, including the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In a video released by the banned group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), Pannun warned of attacks on November 16 and 17. The video, filmed in Brampton, Canada, aims to incite violence against Hindu religious sites.

Pannun specifically targeted Ayodhya, calling it the birthplace of "Hindutva ideology" and threatening the Ram Mandir. The video includes images of Prime Minister Modi praying at the temple during its inauguration in January. Pannun also warned people in Canada to avoid being near Hindu temples, as they may be targeted by Khalistani groups.

Earlier, Pannun had warned passengers to avoid Air India flights between November 1 and 19, claiming it marked the 40th anniversary of the 1984 "Sikh genocide." He has also called for violence against Indian diplomats, further escalating tensions.

Pannun’s group, SFJ, advocates for a separate Sikh state and has been involved in anti-India activities. In 2020, Pannun was declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), and India has issued multiple arrest warrants for him. Despite this, Pannun continues his activities from the US and Canada.

In recent years, attacks on Hindu temples and threats against the Hindu community in Canada by radical Khalistani elements have been on the rise. There have been incidents of vandalism, hate graffiti on temple walls, and public threats.

Last week, pro-Khalistani protesters clashed with devotees at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton and disrupted an event co-organized by the temple and the Indian Consulate. Despite repeated concerns from India, the response from Canadian authorities has been seen as weak, causing further strain in India-Canada relations.
