On Tuesday night, an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi was diverted to Ahmedabad after receiving a bomb threat via social media. The plane, carrying about 200 passengers and crew, was confirmed safe on Wednesday after the threat turned out to be false.
In a separate incident, an Akasa Air flight heading from Delhi to Bengaluru had to return to Delhi after receiving a bomb threat. Flight QP1335, with 184 passengers on board, made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1:48 pm. Akasa Air released a statement saying all safety procedures were followed, and passengers were taken care of, receiving updates and refreshments. The airline also ensured that the situation was handled with the support of local authorities.
