Israel claims that Hezbollah is hiding $500 million in gold and cash in a secret bunker that used to be run by its deceased leader, Hassan Nasrallah, under a hospital in Beirut.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), shared a graphic photo and a video simulation of the bunker but stated that Israel does not plan to attack it. He explained that the bunker, which is located under a hospital, holds more than half a billion dollars that could have been used to help rebuild Lebanon, but instead went to support Hezbollah.

Hagari called on Lebanese officials to take action against Hezbollah and inspect the bunker, urging them not to let the group use the money for terrorism or to attack Israel. The IDF has accused Hezbollah and Hamas of hiding weapons and fighters in hospitals, schools, and other sensitive locations.

He also discussed how Iran funds Hezbollah, mentioning Al-Qard Al-Hasan, which is Hezbollah's financial arm that provides services to civilians and pays its fighters. According to Hagari, the Lebanese people and the Iranian regime are Hezbollah's main sources of income. He alleged that the group uses cash transfers from Syria and smuggles gold into Lebanon from Iran.

Hagari stated that Hezbollah operates factories in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Turkey to generate income for its activities. He described the bunker as having connections to two other buildings, serving as entrances and exits. The IDF claims the bunker is equipped with beds and rooms for long stays, functioning as a command center for operations.

He urged the people of Lebanon not to let Hezbollah store its funds under a hospital, emphasizing that Israel's fight is not against Lebanese civilians but against Hezbollah, which he called a terrorist organization aligned with Iran. He reiterated Israel's commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens and allowing residents of northern Israel to return home.

Additionally, Hagari reported that Israel attacked a Hezbollah bunker on Monday, claiming it held tens of millions of dollars in cash and gold as part of strikes targeting the group's financial network.
