The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released a video on Tuesday showing a tunnel that they say is being used by Hezbollah in Lebanon. They claimed this tunnel is very different from those built by Hamas in Gaza.

In the 96-minute video, an IDF member describes a "100-meter" tunnel in southern Lebanon, stating that Hezbollah is embedding itself under civilian homes to prepare for an attack similar to the one on October 7 in northern Israel. The video shows various parts of the tunnel, including iron doors, operational rooms, AK-47 rifles, a bedroom, a bathroom, a storage area with generators, water tanks, and vehicles. The IDF did not share the date and time of the video.

The IDF announced the video on their social media, saying it provides an "INSIDE LOOK into a Hezbollah terrorist tunnel in southern Lebanon."

Israel has been conducting intense operations in Lebanon to target Hezbollah hideouts after the group began firing missiles into Israel to support Hamas following a deadly attack in southern Israel that sparked Israel's military actions in Gaza.

At least 2,309 people have died in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese government. Most deaths occurred since late September when Israel intensified its military campaign.

In September, Israel reportedly killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a targeted attack called 'Operation New Order.'

The security situation in the Middle East has been unstable for nearly a year after Hamas launched a major attack on Israel, killing about 1,200 people and taking over 200 hostages. This led to the war in Gaza, which has resulted in over 41,000 deaths.
