Eminem is going to be a grandpa!
On October 3, the 51-year-old rapper released a touching music video for his song "Temporary." The video features many old home videos of his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, who is now 28. Towards the end, Hailie surprises Eminem with the news that she is expecting her first baby with her husband, Evan McClintock.
In the video, Hailie gives her dad a blue football jersey that says "Grandpa" and the number 1, along with a sonogram picture. Eminem is clearly shocked and emotional at the happy news.
A representative for Eminem did not respond to requests for comments right away.
Hailie Jade got engaged to Evan McClintock on February 4, 2023. They had been dating for six years after meeting at Michigan State University in 2016. Hailie shared a photo on social media of McClintock proposing, with the caption, "Casual weekend recap … 😭💗 2.4.23 💍 I love you @evanmcclintock11."
In a podcast interview, McClintock revealed that he asked Eminem for permission to propose during Hailie’s birthday party in December 2022.
Eminem had previously spoken positively about Hailie Jade's relationship in a 2020 interview, saying, "No babies. Just a boyfriend. She's doing good. She's made me proud for sure."
Over a year after their engagement, Hailie Jade announced that she and McClintock had married. She shared their wedding photos on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the support from family and friends during their celebration.
